#2 – Los Alamos Market y Cocina
Los Alamos Market y Cocina resides at 1667 Summit St in Kansas City. Los Alamos ranks a two on the 1-5 price scale, with most of the meals priced at $7.99. Patrons of Los Alamos Market y Cocina rave about the food’s authenticity and recommend the pork plate unless it is breakfast. Order the spicy pork with potatoes and egg.
#3 – GG’s Barbacoa Café
GG’s Barbacoa Café resides at 210 S 7th St in Kansas City, Kansas. Their price score is a 3, with most of the meals being between $10.99 and $11.99. GG’s Barbacoa Café only serves breakfast and lunch, with the Enchilada Casseroles being the crowd favorite at GG’s.

#5 – Manny’s Mexican Restaurant
Manny’s Mexican Restaurant is among the exquisite Mexican restaurants on Southwest Boulevard, located at 207 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108.
They score a 3.5 out of five on the price scale, with most of the meals costing $11.40. As usual, tips are customary for dine-in restaurants. Manny’s offers $7 Monterey Burritos on Monday, $6 for two crunchy tacos w/rice or beans on Tuesday, $5 Monterey cheese, Jalapeno Cheese, Queso Molida, and Bean Dip on Wednesday.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4:00 PM to close, Manny’s offers $5.00 house margaritas and $1.00 off any draft beer.
#6 – Brookside Barrio
Brookside Barrio is located at 6227 Brookside Plaza, Kansas City, and one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Kansas City. Brookside Barrio scores a rank of three out of five on the pricing scale, with an average of the meals costing $11. They are a dine-in restaurant, so tip is not included.
Brookside Barrio offers a “Happy Hour” weekdays from 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM with street tacos for $2.25, Queso for $5, Guacamole for $5, Cheese Nachos for $5, Mini Chimis, Loaded Queso, and Chicken Quesadillas for $6.50, Burnt End Quesadillas, Chicken Nachos, Valentina Wings, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and Ceviche for $8.
Brookside Barrio also offers drink specials during their weekday happy hours. Their happy hours include Estrella Jalisco, Negra Modelo, Corona Premier, KCBC Dunkel, and Bud Light Tall Boys for $3.50.

If you have a party greater than 4, you will likely need to call ahead since the restaurant is typically busy. Rudy’s provides a happy hour on Saturday from 3 PM – 6 PM, offering House Margaritas for $5.50, Skinny Margaritas and red or white Sangria for $5, Domestic draft beer and wells for $3.50, and Import draft beer for $4.50.
